Jill Howland
Jill Howland was born in 1974 in Ithaca, NY. She grew up with a love of nature inspired by a family who enjoyed the outdoors and traveled often. Summers were spent on Cayuga Lake and winter weekends were spent in a snowy cabin near Cortland.
Photography was never a career plan, but a very serious hobby for Ms. Howland after she took a high school photography class and excelled with top marks. Jill graduated from SUNY Cortland in 1997, cum laude in the field of Communications, with a double minor in Anthropology and Spanish.
Jill has also created and maintains her own website, sells note cards, invitations & prints and also works in a retail photo lab used by many local professional photographers. She focuses mainly on capturing the scenic beauty of central New York, including the Montezuma Wildlife Refuge, Millard Fillmore State Park, Cayuga Lake and many other gorgeous locations around the area.
