Cincinnatus, once located in the Military Tract of Southern Onondaga, was formed in 1804 and in 1818, Freetown, Willet & Marathon separated to become their own townships. Cincinnatus, named after the Roman statesman, is situated along the Otselic River. View the upper and lower villages nestled in the valley from Reid's Hill (Rt. 26) or Telephone Road overlooks. A giant "H" is formed by Rt. 26 on the west, Cincinnatus Rd. on the east with Main St. and the bridge joining them.
