Dansville, established in 1795, is rich in history & natural beauty. There is pride in the village as it can claim the 1st Chapter of the American Red Cross, started in 1881 by Clara Barton. Dansville has an American hometown feeling, a perfect place to raise a family. Easy access from I-390 with two entrances & an airport. The community offers a variety of shopping, a beautiful old-fashioned Main Street, interesting stores, restaurants, restored movie theatre and a hospital. Close to Stony Brook State Park, Swain Ski Center, SUNY Geneseo and Alfred University. Home of the New York State Festival of Balloons and the largest hill climb in the country is hosted in Poags Hole in August.
