Begin your exploration of the Finger Lakes in the 'Cuse. Featuring great attractions ranging from the Carrier Dome to the Erie Canal, this comfortable and family-friendly city and beautiful countryside invite you to visit anytime. Enjoy many year-round events and festivals as well as outstanding attractions.  Go to www.VisitSyracuse.org to plan your stay in Syracuse.

Getting to Syracuse is a breeze - either off Rts. 81, the NYS Thruway (I-90), or the more scenic and historic Rts. 11, 5 and 20. For excitement day or night, visit downtown’s distinctive Armory and Hanover Squares.  Shops, restaurants, cafes and nightspots fill historical brick and stone buildings throughout the squares. Other not-to-miss areas include Syracuse University’s beautifully updated Marshall Street; Clinton Square with its reflecting pool during summer months and ice-skating in winter; Little Italy which honors the heritage of its early immigrants; and Tipperary Hill which boasts the world's only upside-down traffic light, in honor of its many Irish settlers.  Take a leisurely drive through the countryside and visit charming towns such as Skaneateles, Marcellus, Fayetteville, Liverpool, Baldwinsville and more!

Dining cuisines include better-than-Memphis barbeque, Vietnamese, Italian, Polish, German, Irish and more!  For post-meal exercise, head to one of the area parks such as the Rosamond Gifford Zoo at Burnet Park, the Erie Canal Park, Clark Reservation, Thorndon Park, Onondaga Lake Park and more.

Shopping is always a favorite at specialty boutiques and shopping centers like Carousel Center, Great Northern and Shoppingtown Malls. If you enjoy music, theater and performing arts, attend the Syracuse Symphony, Syracuse Stage, Syracuse Opera or many other productions. Music and cultural festivals such as JazzFest, BluesFest, Syracuse FilmFest or OktoberFest happen throughout the year.  The Erie Canal Museum, the Onondaga Historical Association Museum and the Salt Museum give a glimpse into Syracuse’s ties to the Abolitionist movement, Women's Rights and westward expansion.

Sports enthusiasts can catch a game at Syracuse University, nationally recognized in basketball, football and lacrosse. Syracuse Crunch Hockey and Syracuse Chiefs Baseball offer great professional sports excitement and fun.

For more information to plan your trip, please call the Syracuse Convention & Visitors Bureau at 800-234-4797, or go to www.VisitSyracuse.org.  We're sure we will surprise you!
