The wonderful thing about touring is that you're free to go, see and do as you please. The wonderful thing about touring in the Finger Lakes is that you're bound only by your imagination.

Touring is about possibilities. And when you have over 9,000 square miles of lakes, hills, villages and vineyards, the possibilities are endless. For families, groups, couples, you name it, each county in the Finger Lakes has developed touring packages and suggested itineraries for the adventuresome traveler. You can take part in an organized tour, or you can take one of many well-defined maps and trek out on your own.

With so much to offer, you'll find "themed" tours easy to assemble. From our historical trails, like the Women's Rights Heritage Trail and the various stops of the Underground Railroad and the Erie Canal, history is easy to rediscover and experience.

Everyone asks about our wine trails. The Canandaigua, Cayuga, Keuka and Seneca Wine Trails are all easy to follow and offer dozens of easy-to-find stops and locations to explore at your leisure. Each offers magnificent views of the lakes.

Given the geography of the region our scenic tours are second to none. In fact, British Airways called Route 54A along Keuka Lake one of the Top 15 Scenic Drives in the world!

All of our drives are magnificent, four seasons per year. Dominated by a mix of hardwoods, our fall foliage is incredible. The "common" scenes are hills ablaze in orange and gold against the blue-grass surface of a Finger Lake. Our summers and springs are to die for, with low humidity and light moderate temps, usually in the 70's. Our winter scenes often become works of art by photographers and other artists.
