Erik Wolf

Erik hails from humble roots in America 's heartland, the Midwest state of Nebraska. When his family moved to the East Coast, Erik availed himself of unique education and career opportunities. He studied languages at the University of Virginia and Travel Marketing and International Communication at The American University in Washington , D.C. After an internship at the former U.S. Travel and Tourism Administration in Sydney , Australia , Erik moved to New York City , where he served as Director of Sales and Marketing for Domenico Tours, then the third largest tour operator in the U.S.

Erik has been a culinary tourist his entire life. A command of ten languages has helped him navigate through 45 countries on 5 continents. He enjoyed numerous tasty dishes while he was a resident of Australia , Denmark , Singapore , South Africa and the U.S. For Erik, food is a way to communicate and connect intimately with locals. The more Erik traveled, the more he realized that many destinations offer travelers compelling value propositions in the form of truly unique food and beverage experiences, hence his passion for culinary tourism.

Erik frequently speaks on culinary tourism to destination marketing organizations and other businesses. He is a member of the National Speakers Association (NSA), the American Society of Association Executives, the International Association of Culinary Professionals (IACP) and Slow Food. A.J. Jordan

A.J. Jordan's professional web-marketing experience began over 10 years ago in the hi-tech nexus of Boston – the area then affectionately referred to as “Silicon Valley East.” During these years, he has ridden the technology wave of the “dot-com explosion” of the late 1990's to current day, all the while sharpening his marketing, presentation and web-programming skills into a very useful and specialized talent.

E-tourism became his passion in 2002 when he assumed the role of E-Tourism Information Services Manager for New York 's Dutchess County Tourism Promotion Agency. He has since moved on and currently holds the role of New Media Director for The Web Studio, LLC, a web-marketing firm just outside of New York City.

A.J.'s most acclaimed talent is his ability to explain the “bits & bytes” of Tourism-Web-Promotion in an everyday language that is extremely refreshing, and easy to understand.

Berkeley W. Young

Young's experience includes serving as the Executive Director of a rural tourism development authority (CVB) and chamber of commerce in which he oversaw the creation and success of a start up research-based tourism marketing program. Then, Young was hired as Director of Sales and quickly promoted to General Manager of a large golf resort managed by the nation's largest hotel management company. He joined Randall Travel Marketing, Inc. in 1998 as Director of Client Services and served as Vice President from 2000 to 2004.

In 2004, Young formed his own Charlotte, NC based company (Young Strategies, Inc.) focusing on research and strategic planning for all aspects of the tourism industry. Young's firm continues to partner with Randall Travel Marketing and specializes in working with City and County governments in the development of local tourism infrastructure, branding and marketing. In the last eight years, Young has worked with communities in twenty-one states and is a popular speaker at regional and national conferences and conventions. Berkeley has been a speaker at the Tourism Institute since its inception in 2002.
