ITHACA, NY – Experience! The Finger Lakes is debuting two Ithaca-focused tour offerings for the 2012
season. These two new tours—Fabulous Falls Above Cayuga, and Made In Ithaca 2.0: Luscious Libations—
highlight the wondrous natural beauty and fabulous fermented favorites exist right within the Ithaca city
limits. Experience! The Finger Lakes will be donating a percentage of sales from these two tours to local
charities as a way of giving back to the community.
Fabulous Falls Above Cayuga is a 1.5 hour tour that allows guests to explore beautiful waterfall sites that
are local favorites, but often missed by visitors. The tour traverses notable spots along Cascadilla and Fall
Creeks. Throughout the tour, and in between waterfall stops, Experience! The Finger Lakes guides will
share stories of Ithaca’s history and classic tales of Cornell, resulting in an intimate experience of our
“gorges” town. Made In Ithaca 2.0: Luscious Libations offers a flavor-packed Finger Lakes experience in
a 3.5 hour tasting tour that includes ports, wines, and beers made right in Ithaca. Guests will visit Ports of
New York, Six Mile Creek and Ithaca Beer Company. While enjoying their tastings, guests will learn about
what makes each stop special and unique, and receive in-depth insights into each product. Food pairings
featuring local cheese and other fare will also be featured.

visit the wonderful gorges of the state parks, enjoy the amazing wineries and vistas offered on the lakes, and
also add these Ithaca tours to round out their experience”, says Laura Winter Falk, Experience! The Finger
Lakes President and co-owner.. Experience! The Finger Lakes will offer these tours daily on weekdays all
year long, encouraging more weekday travel to the area. During the tourism season, the Fabulous Falls tour
will also be offered weekend mornings departing from and returning to the Ithaca Farmers Market, so that
guests will be able to experience the Market after their tour. Tour And Cruise packages are also available
with the Falls tour, enhancing the experience with the popular one-hour Tiohero narrated boat cruise.
Giving back to the community - Experience! The Finger Lakes will donate 5% of sales from these two
tours to local nonprofit organizations. Proceeds from the Fabulous Falls tour will go to the Museum of the
Earth and the Sciencenter, . Donations from the Luscious Libations tour will be made to the Finger Lakes
Wine Center and the History Center in downtown Ithaca.
