Dundee, NY June 10, 2012—Wine drinkers are talking, and Fulkerson Winery is listening. Visitors to Finger Lakes wine country are looking for more than “just” a standard tasting and with that, Fulkerson Winery is pleased to announce the launch of two new tasting experiences.
For those wishing to get out and about, Vineyard Tours are available on Saturdays at 10:30am, 12:30pm and 2:30pm and Sundays at 10:30am and 12:30pm. Steven Fulkerson, son of winemaker Sayre Fulkerson (6th generation to farm the Fulkerson land), will lead participants on a stroll through the vineyards while discussing the history of the Fulkerson farm, grape growing methods, and winemaking techniques. The tour will end with a private wine tasting. Cost to participate is $10 per person or $7 per person for Wine Club Members.
For those seeking something a bit more upscale and intimate, the new Reserved Tastings offer a private tasting featuring a flight of premium Fulkerson wines, paired with gourmet chocolates or artisan cheeses, depending upon which flight the participant chooses to sample. Participants will be lead through their tasting by an educated wine server who will discuss the art and science of wine and food pairing. These tastings are ideal for birthdays, anniversaries, or other special occasions.
Located on the west side of Seneca Lake, Fulkerson Winery is conveniently located on the Seneca Lake Wine Trail, just ten minutes north of Watkins Glena and a half hour south of Geneva.
