Tioga County Maple Producers Participate in New York State Maple Weekends

Tioga County, NY - The 2015 New York State Maple Weekend, now in its 20th year, actually takes place on two weekends this year, March 21 – 22 and March 28 - 29. During these days, sugar shacks all over New York State will open their doors to the public for tours, demonstrations and to showcase their products.

Tioga County has a long history of agriculture and farm products and produces some of the best maple syrup in the state.

Casa Larga Releases New Wines

Fairport, NY - Casa Larga Vineyards is releasing two new wines this weekend, a brand new varietal - Syrah - and a new vintage of the Dry Riesling.

The 2013 Syrah is a brand new product. It was produced with grapes from Sawmill Creek Vineyards in the Finger Lakes. The nose shows a healthy dose of fresh ground black pepper with some lavender, black plums, blackberries and blueberries.
