If you haven’t had the chance to meet lovely innkeeper Lynda Logan, I recommend you do so as soon as possible! The matriarch of the Morgan House, Lynda is able to convey the beauty of the house with a special knack that serves as a reminder of how lucky we are to work in such beautiful spaces.
One night, Lynda was washing dishes while the sun was setting. “The whole lawn was this beautiful florescent green,” she reminisces. It was so beautiful I couldn’t stop saying,’oh my my my my my.’ It looked like it was out of a movie.” Although these special moments don’t last for long, each is as precious as a gem. Lynda recalls that once a guest, pausing during her enjoyment of wine and cheese hour held up her glass of wine and remarked, “this is worth $1,000 of therapy.”
A notoriously early riser, Lynda also has the chance to witness moments that guests may miss. She loves how, “first thing in the morning, the sun shines through the leaded glass of the front door, into the foyer. You have to stop and be one with it. You have to experience the stillness, peace, and serenity. “You have to sit still and be one with it.”
