Finger Lakes Night Life

As the days get shorter and the nights get colder it seems to get a little harder to find a place to go after 5. Well look no further, there are plenty of places in the Finger Lakes to get out of the house to enjoy friends and family.

The up-and-coming craft brewery market in the Finger Lakes offers top quality beers past 5 at a number of locations. Nedloh Brewing in Bloomfield is open until 8 Wednesday through Saturday and features a variety of classic and experimental beers all year long. The Boathouse Beer Garden in Romulus brings together a number of Finger Lakes beers in one location. 24 taps pour the best of the Finger Lakes as late as 9 pm on Thursday and Friday.

Belhurst Winery, located on the northern banks of Seneca Lake in Geneva, is open until 8 daily the entire year. Belhurst also features two dining options: Edgar’s and "Stonecutter’s, both open until between 9 and 10, depending on the day of the week. Americana Vineyards is also open past 5 on nightly bases. Friday nights Americana features live music from 6-8pm, the rest of the week closing at 6pm. Americana Vineyards has an award winning wine for every palate, Americana was also a founding member of the Cayuga Lake Wine Trail.

Tioga Downs Casino and the Finger Lakes Gaming and Racetrack are two great options past 5 in the Finger Lakes. Tioga Downs Casino boasts 800 gaming machines and holds special slots tournaments; there are also five dining options to satisfy whatever taste you are craving. The Finger Lakes Gaming and Racetrack features over 1,500 gaming machines and other dining and entertainment options.

Eat Out for Thanksgiving and Miss the Clean-Up

The holidays are a time to celebrate friends and family, so you shouldn’t have to deal with the stress of cleaning, cooking and preparing for your loved ones. Let the organizations in the Finger Lakes do the work for you! The Inns of Aurora, Veraisons Restaurant at Glenora and the Holiday Inn Elmira are all holding Thanksgiving dinners.

The Inns of Aurora is holding a traditional buffet featuring classic dishes such as roast turkey and pecan pie. Seating will be from 11am – 3pm.

Veraisons Restaurant at Glenora, on the western shore of Seneca Lake, will hold their Thanksgiving Buffet from 11am – 4pm on Thanksgiving Day. Veraisons will be featuring traditional fixings like free range turkey, mashed potatoes and roasted vegetables as well as chef inspired creations like butternut squash mac & cheese and honey glazed sweet potato puree.

The Thanksgiving Dinner Buffet at the Holiday Inn in Elmira will run from 12pm – 4pm. This buffet boasts roast beef, ham, turkey and a number of side dishes and desserts.
