Scrumptious foods and tasteful wines…

The Finger Lakes offer several wine events in month of April that you will not want to miss.

*Coming up first is the Canandaigua Wine Walk; occurring on Saturday, April 6th from 4-7pm. Take a stroll down historic Canandaigua and check out the beautiful architecture dating all the way back to the early 1800’s. Stop into the participating shops to enjoy your free tastings of appetizing Finger Lakes wines. Taste a little bit of everything; red, white or blush and choose anything from sweet to dry. No reservations needed. All you will need to do is grab a $5 wine glass from one of the participating merchants centrally located in downtown Canandaigua. The merchants will have purple balloons outside of their establishments so you will be sure not to miss them. All of the merchants carry either food or wine so why not grab a bite to eat or a bottle of wine for later? Visit www.downtowncanandaigua.com/events/winewalk/ for a complete list of merchants and wineries. Once you find a favorite wine be sure to stop at the winery’s retail location on your way home to get the full experience.

*Do you love cheese? I know I do! Cheese and wine are the perfect match. Visit Seneca Lake wineries April 26-28th for the Spring Wine and Cheese Weekend event. No need to worry about lunch or dinner; you will be snacking all day long on different treats.
