Preparations for the 2015 Finger Lakes Travel Guide Are Underway and More to Come

With travel guide season fast approaching, we encourage our partners to review their business listing on to make sure that we have the correct and most current information reflected for your business. Your data for the 2015 Travel Guide is pulled directly from your business listing on so it is imperative that it is accurate and up-to-date! Information is collected for your text listing in the communities area of the guide as well as for the grids in the beginning of the guide so be sure to scroll all the way through the page where you enter your listing information to make sure all fields are filled out and accurate. The Toronto Women's Show is a huge consumer show that draws over 38,000 individuals looking to visit and spend money in the Finger Lakes. SPACE IS EXTREMELY LIMITED but FLTA welcomes you to attend the show with FLTA and have a presence at the Finger Lakes booth to speak one on one with attendees. Utilize Your FLTA Partnership to Its Fullest!

As an FLTA partner, the organization is always looking to work in collaboration with area businesses to promote the Finger Lakes region and all the wonderful businesses within it, to bring the most eyes and visitors to your location for "slam dunk" marketing exposure. As a basic partner with FLTA, you are entitled to your own unique log in account which can be acessed on the bottom right hand corner of where it says 'Partner Log In'. From the Access Your Partner Account link, you can log in and edit your business listing on, add events to the calendar, add press releases for media attention, add any promotions (i.e. stay one night get the second night free) you may have going on at your business, post package deal offerings for the public and SO MUCH MORE! Please note that all submitted events must be tourism-related and must be of at least a regional interest. Events targeted just to locals or that would not generally appeal to potential visitors are prohibited. Please feel free to review the partner submission guidelines page. Be sure to use this area and add info frequently! FLTA is always pulling from for content with promotions and in our marketing efforts so be sure to utilize this area as frequently as possible! Senator Kirsten Gillibrand Announces 2016 Global Mural Convention to Come to the Area

In a recent press release issued by Senator Kirsten Gillibrand's office, the 2016 Global Mural Convention will be held along the historic Erie Canal, highlighting a wide range of murals and public art. The convention will take place along the Erie Canal Corridor. The location was chosen as leaders believe there is so much to learn about what the region has to offer. There is excitement amongst the community and Mural Conference organizers to aid in the revitalization of the canal corridor. Mural Mania has been selected to be the host of the Global Mural Conference in 2016 and several locations along the Erie Canal Corridor wil be highlighted. The graph below shows year over year comparisons for visitation and looks to only grow even further for the 2015 year. The Finger Lakes continues to receive increased recognition and by working together to promote that Finger Lakes brand, the area will continue to soar with growth and increased awareness.
