Changes During Open Enrollment for Health and Dental Insurance Are Coming. Stay Informed at FREE Insurance Workshop Presented by Optima Benefits
Recently, there have been a number of changes to price and coverage in
the health insurance industry and your responsibilities as a business owner when it comes to insurance. During this workshop by Sheril Damelia from Optima Benefits & Payroll, you will be presented with strategies on how to maintain benefits for your employees as well as explore new plan options and get a first look at the health and dental rates for 2017.
This workshop is free for all organizations. Come prepared with your current insurance plan information.

Make Sure Your Listing in the 2016 Travel Guide is Perfect – Visit FingerLakes.org/Partners to Ensure Your Listing’s Accuracy
Soon, the Finger Lakes Tourism Alliance will be working on our 2017 Finger Lakes Regional Travel Guide. Every FLTA partner will be listed in the guide and it is important your organization’s contact information is 100% accurate. While preparing the guide, we pull your business’ information from your listing on FingerLakes.org; if the information is wrong on our website, it will be wrong in the Travel Guide as well.
To check your organization’s information, login to your partner account at FingerLakes.org by visitingFingerLakes.org/partners or clicking “ Access your partner account” on the bottom right hand corner of any page on FingerLakes.org and enter your login credentials. If you do not know your login information, email email@example.com or call our office at 315-536-7488. Once logged in, click “listings” on the left hand side of the page and then “edit” to the right of your organizations listing. If your information is not accurate, correct where necessary and click “Submit for Approval” at the bottom of the page. In the coming weeks, be on the lookout for continued IMPORTANT 2017 TRAVEL GUIDE MESSAGES in future partner newsletters and emails.
Fair Labor Standards Changing – Learn how to Comply with New Regulations
On Thursday, November 3 Hancock Estabrook, LLP Counselors at Law will be giving a FREE presentation that will provide guidance on the changes being made to the Fair Labor Standards Act. These changes primarily focus on updating salary and compensation levels necessary to exempt workers from overtime eligibility. This presentation will teach attendees what you need to do, as a business owner or executive, to ensure your current business plan will comply with the new regulations. Whitney M Kummerow, ESQ. of Hancock Estabrook, LLP will be the speaker.

For the second year in a row, FLTA will be honoring top-notch customer service with the Outstanding Customer Service Award at the annual Finger Lakes Tourism Alliance Holiday Party. If you feel a member of your organization has excelled at front-line customer service, giving visitors to the region a top-notch experience, then nominate them for this honor! Deadline to nominate is Friday, November 11th. The winners of last year’s FLTA customer service award will serve as judges for this year’s award nominations. Use this form to nominate someone!
