Harvest Festival Comes to Market Street

Sep 10th, 2017

Corning, NY — Corning’s Gaffer District is pleased to announce the HARVEST Festival on Saturday, September 16 from 12:00—6:00pm on Historic Market Street and warmly welcomes Elmira Savings Bank as returning title sponsor.

This year, HARVEST will highlight Corning’s Gaffer District as a food destination. Festivities will feature Gaffer District restaurants and businesses offering shopping and dining incentives along with the Corning Farmers Market, a pie-judging contest, the Gaffer SOUP-OFF, scavenger hunt sponsored by the Palace Theatre, and many other family activities.

Community tables will line Market Street and act as a gathering place to sit and eat harvest-inspired foods offered by our restaurants. Participating restaurants will be selling on the street and/or offering take-out or dine-in specials. Music will be offered on three stages featuring free performances by local and regional musicians.

Executive Director of Corning’s Gaffer District, Coleen Fabrizi, said, “Kicking off the fall season at our HARVEST event has become a beloved tradition for many people throughout the region and beyond. Thanks to our growing number of sponsors, we continue to add to the line-up of free music and family activities included as people shop and dine their way through Corning’s Gaffer District."
