New Season of PBS Series "Travels with Darley" will feature the Finger Lakes Region

The new season of the popular PBS Series Travels With Darley will feature a look at the Finger Lakes region.  Darley and her crew spent several days in the region and will use their extensive footage to highlight the many wonders of the region.

The Southern Finger Lakes episode is set to air on local PBS affiliate WSKG on Sunday, March 18 at 11:30am. While Darley and her crew were in the region, they also spent three days exploring the wonders of the Finger Lakes National Forest and that episode is slated to run on WSKG on Sunday, April 8th at 11:30am. 

WXXI (Rochester area) plans to play the new season of Travels with Darley in marathon form on Sunday, April 29th from 1pm-4pm on WXXI-TV. The two NY-themed episodes will air at 1pm and 2:30pm. Travels with Darley airs on WMHT on Tuesdays/Thursdays at 11pm and Wednesdays at 5am.  PLEASE CHECK YOUR LOCAL LISTINGS FOR SCHEDULING ON YOUR PBS STATION.

The new season brings the series, which can be seen in over 96% of the USA on PBS stations (approximately 211,000,000 viewers), to 30 half-hour episodes. The episode featuring the Southern Finger Lakes (specifically Elmira, Corning, Watkins Glen and Hammondsport) will kick off the upcoming season of Travels With Darley and is the show’s first episode featuring a destination in New York State, placing the Southern Finger Lakes alongside such destinations as Tokyo, Hong Kong, Martinique and Great Britain.

Travels with Darley follows TV host Darley Newman in beautiful, awe-inspiring places as she experiences what gives each destination its authentic “sense of place” . . . all with the help of local residents. Each episode introduces millions of U.S. and global viewers to food, nature, art, music, history, attractions and adventure, showcasing what makes each location truly unique
