Wine, Water, and Wonders of Upstate New York - 5 Days

Day 1 - NYC to Corning

Drive through the beautiful Catskill Mountains via Rt. 17/I-86 to Corning, New York, a four and a half hour drive. Corning, the southern gateway to the Finger Lakes is home to one of our region's most popular attractions, The Corning Museum of Glass. Visit the world's largest glass museum and watch a live Hot Glass demonstration! The new Contemporary Art & Design Wing is attracting visitors from all over the world. Many other attractions and restaurants serving local fare are found in the Gaffer District of downtown Corning, just a short walk from the museum. 

Day 2 - Finger Lakes Wine Region

Leave Corning and head towards Watkins Glen at the south end of Seneca Lake. Watkins Glen State Park is our most popular visitor destination because of the scenery, the 19 waterfalls, and the gorge itself. In the village of Watkins Glen you will find dining and boat excursions such as Captain Bill's. Seneca Lake is a long slender lake with wineries and vineyards along both sides. Traveling up either side will be a beautiful drive that will bring you to the small city of Geneva. In Geneva, you can walk the north shore of Seneca Lake. With more than 140 wineries, cideries, and distilleries, the Finger Lakes region is one of the largest wine producing regions in North America.  

Day 3 - On to Rochester

Welcome to Rochester, an iconic American city! Rochester is home to world renowned attractions including The Strong National Museum of Play which houses the largest collection of toys, games and dolls in the world! Enjoy an evening of great dining, music and nightlife and be sure to save time for a stroll, bike ride, or cruise between charming villages that line the historic Erie Canal. 

Day 4 - Rochester to Niagara Falls

In the morning, depart Rochester along the scenic Erie Canal, arriving in Niagara Falls ready to be captivated by the experience of the Falls. To start, your visit beings at Niagara Falls State Park, a beautifully landscaped and natural park where you will see and feel the power of Niagara Falls at your fingertips. Get your cameras ready as the iconic attractions Maid of the Mist and Cave of the Winds are found here and will provide a thrill of a lifetime. To enhnace your visit, add the historic towns of Lewiston and Lockport, Old Fort Niagara, or jet boat experience and plenty of wineries!

Day 5 - Niagara Falls to Departure City

Spend the morning in Niagara USA and then depart via air from Buffalo/Niagara International Airport (BUF) or dive via the Finger Lakes region back to New York City or beyond.
