The NFLCC is an organization that was formed to educate the public on the history and artifacts related to the sport of fishing. It is an organization that promotes the collection and verification of antique fishing materials. This fishing history began in the 1850’s with the making of metal baits by such makers as J. T. Buel and G. M. Skinner of Clayton, New York. The sport of fishing is depicted in trade cards, decoys, art work, rods, reels unique artifacts, and of course, tackle. Some of the items you will see were made by Creek Chub, Hedden, South Bend, Pflueger, as well as many state specific manufactured lures.

The NFLCC Region I show has been held in Rochester, Corning and most recently Lancaster, Pennsylvania. This is the second year this event is held in the Palmyra area. Free appraisals of tackle, rods, reels, and other fishing items will be available to those that attend. Should you want to sell your old tackle or other fishing related items, the experts will determine if it’s saleable.
