Tourism Institute VI

2008 TIVI Testimonial
"Hi Cindy, I just wanted to drop you a note today. I enjoyed attending the Finger Lakes Institute Conference with you. My wife had signed me up for this event and I had some doubts regarding what I could accomplish from attending. I must say that it was a great experience and I now believe it was well worth attending. Sincerely, Duane Stevens Diamonds Limousine Service."
Tourism Institute VI was held last week at the Holiday Inn Waterloo-Seneca Falls. The three day program included frontline training attended by over 100 people! Wednesday’s programming was lively and informative and we learned about new technologies and marketing trends for 2008.(power point presentation) Brochures and websites were reviewed as part of the program.
Wednesday night was our always popular “mystery progressive dinner” which was held at 3 Brothers Winery and catered by Abigail’s. Great fun was had by all and we were transported by Fitzgerald’s Wine Tour Trolley. Thank you to Fred Gaffney from the Seneca County Chamber of Commerce, Rita Mallery from the NYS Division of Tourism and Glenn Clark of Clark CSM for sponsoring the event. Thursday was a great program of packaging presented by Caylin Sanders. We left with package ideas and great contacts through our “speed dating”. We will be sending out surveys via email to all attendees. Please take a few moments to let us know how we can make the program even better for 2009.
Thanks to all of our 2008 Tourism Institute VI Sponsors: McCadam Cheese, Cayuga Wine Trail, NYS Division of Tourism, Clark CSM, and City Newspaper.

All aboard the Wine Tour Trolley!
