Historic Palmyra’s dinner from Spaghetti to Steak

Palmyra, NY (April 17, 2008) – Annual fundraising dinner for Historic Palmyra will feature steak this year. This dinner is to help us support our four incredible museums and the programs we offer throughout the year. This grand event is Saturday evening, April 26th, from 5 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Historic Palmyra is having its famous silent auction, music, and door prizes throughout the event. On the menu are the 12 oz steak, baked potato, vegetable, salad, homemade bread, and homemade dessert. Your steak is cooked to order outside of the beautiful Alling Coverlet’s newly remodeled kitchen done with a grant from the Griffith – McLouth foundation with expanded seating and lots of new amenities. The drawing for the Canal Cruise will be held at 8:30 p.m. to end this grand event. It isn’t too late to get your tickets for this drawing.

The four incredible museums of Historic Palmyra are preparing for the new season with lots of new exhibits and hands on items. We are featuring old elections. Who knew what local lawyer ran for State Assembly and do you remember Roy Aplin. See the slogans from 1960 about saving taxes and having a more efficient government. Who said things change?

Watch for the opening in more detail, but come on to the dinner and share in the Historic Palmyra experience. Call for your reservations to (315) 597-6981. It will be a great time and you are always a winner when you support Historic Palmyra and our history
