Junius Ponds Cabins and Campgrounds is the ideal location for those of us who love to watch the landscape’s seasonal treasures here in the Finger Lakes. Whether your camping style is in a motor home, cabin or tent, Junius Ponds can accommodate you and your family and keep you entertained. On site, they have a pool, playground, and planned activities like crafts, bingo and other social events. They also have a patio area and lots and lots of space for viewing wildlife, playing sports or just lounging.
Harold Dadson, a lover of camping and the outdoors, always thought it would be fun to run a campground. After working for a slew of manufacturing plants that all eventually closed, in 1997 he decided it was time. He prides himself on keeping his property up-to-date and providing all the desired modern accommodations like internet access, phone access and electric. He employs a small staff of locals during the season and says, “People are surprised when they arrive at how well maintained the sites are.”
One of the newest camp grounds in the Finger Lakes region, Junius Ponds Cabins and Campgrounds’ season begins April 15 and runs until October 15. If you are thinking about taking a weekend to enjoy the still-warm-enough-to-camp weather and help the family ease into fall, Junius Ponds is a great place for a cookout or party in one of its three pavilions. Take advantage of your last opportunity to appreciate the local bird species and other wildlife, or just to sit outside to read or relax.
