South Bristol Cultural Center Will Host Poetry Reading by Peter Conners

Canandaigua, NY (September 24, 2007) – South Bristol Cultural Center is pleased to present a poetry reading and book signing by Rochester poet Peter Conners on Thursday, October 4th at 7:00 PM. Peter Conners will read from his newest book of prose poetry, Of Whiskey and Winter (White Pine Press). Afterwards, guests will have the opportunity to purchase a copy of the book and have it signed by the author.

Peter works as an editor and directs marketing for the literary publisher BOA Editions, Ltd. His writing appears regularly in such journals as Poetry International, Mississippi Review, Verse, Fiction International, Salt Hill, Mid-American Review, The Bitter Oleander, Beloit Fiction Journal, Sentence, 88: A Journal of Contemporary American Poetry, American Book Review, Paragraph, and, Quick Fiction. Peter is co-founder of Double Room and co-edited the journal from 2002 - 2007. He is a Contributing Editor for Del Sol Review. He served as a 2005 guest editor for American Book Review. ABOUT SOUTH BRISTOL CULTURAL CENTER – The South Bristol Cultural Center, located at 5323 Seneca Point Road in Canandaigua, is a multi-arts center situated in the scenic Bristol Hills. The facility is housed in a renovated pre-Civil War era barn where classes and workshops are offered in addition to a music concert series. The SBCC also contains a retail gallery shop and space available for event rental.
