"Finger Lying" Area 1,772 acres Length 4.5 miles Shoreline 10.8 miles Max. Depth 30 feet Max. Width 0.8 mile Volume 9.5 billion gallons Elevation 804 feet Largest town Honeoye Characteristics Small and the shallowest of the Finger Lakes. Its principle use is for water-based recreation.

The  Hamlet of Honeoye is on RT 20A located at the north end of Honeoye Lake.

Sandy Bottom Beach Park in the hamlet of Richmond , Cty Rte 36 – picnic area, swimming, lifeguard, fishing, trail. 

 

Marina's & Boat Launches.

Sandy Bottom Beach Rd.  just off Cty Rte 36 (North End of Lake)   - Gravel ramp  for car top boats launching.

A full service Marina can be found on the east lake rd.  one mile south of Rt 20A

Honeoye State Marine Park – Southern end – 6150 East Lake Rd.

 

Attractions

Harriet Hollister Spencer State Recreation Area –Off Canadice Hill Rd.  The park has a  pavilion, and offers hiking,  cross-country skiing,  and biking trails, and hunting.    Overlook on the main trail provides a panoramic view of the Honeoye Lake.
