After working for New York State government, in Albany, and assisting the passage of the farm-winery bill in 1976, we decided we wanted to have our own winery - "it sounded like fun" - so embarked upon an adventure. We found a promising site with an incredible view of Cayuga Lake, and planted our first vines in 1978 and were bonded NY farm-winery #47 in 1982.
Our first production was 400 cases and we maintain a diminutive status, producing no more than 3,000 cases a year. We specialize in dry red and white table wines and a brut méthode champenoise. A semi-sweet rosé and a sweet dessert white wine round out our list.
