Explore over 400 landscape & portrait paintings by John D. Barrow, 19th century artist, Skaneateles resident, and environmental visionary. We are the only gallery in the world devoted to the works of a single artist, that represents the span of his entire career, and was designed and built by the artist himself.
Considered a 2nd generation Hudson River school artist, Mr. Barrow spent his entire life discovering the nature of the Finger Lakes, the Adirondacks, the St. Lawrence & Great Lakes. Though he made his living painting portraits that reflected the essence of his subjects, his true passion seemed to be capturing the nuances of light and the changing seasons.
Come visit us and find out why we are MORE THAN ART.
Open Thursday through Sunday, 1-4PM. Closed January through mid-May and major holidays. Admission is $5 per person.
