Chamber President and CEO Rebekah Carroll takes pride in sponsoring the fireworks, which are an area tradition, “The Watkins Glen Area Chamber of Commerce is pleased to continue the long-standing tradition of Watkins Glen celebrating this great country’s freedom with the best fireworks display around!”

Date:               Friday, July 6

Since the Watkins Glen fireworks display will take place on Friday, July 6, residents have an opportunity to check out other displays in the area on the other nights leading up to the 4th of July. Each year, thousands come out to view this beautiful display over scenic Seneca Lake. Young Explosives Corporation of Rochester, New York will produce the show. They present over 400 shows annually. You can view some of their past displays on their website: www.youngexplosives.com.

Don’t forget that since it’s the first Friday of the month, Friday on Franklin will take place earlier in the evening! Why not come downtown, enjoy tasting and sampling your way through our local shops, head to dinner, then stick around for fireworks after?
