On one of his countless visits to the principal’s office, in one of the many Catholic schools that tolerated him, Dan was asked, “Mr. Mahoney, you’re back here again? Do you think you’re some kind of comedian?”. He now lives each day to answer that question with a resounding, “YES”! Priests can’t take a joke…FYI.
Dan Mahoney is a great comedian and a bad actor. His unique observation of life – which is rarely physical, always hysterical – has earned him industry acclaim and a loyal following. He earned the status of regional finalist of Comedy Central’s Open Mic Fight, semi-finalist in the Boston Comedy Festival and Finalist in the Boston Comedy Festival NYC Showcase.
Dan has survived drinking, dating, corporate life and cancer. He discusses these life experiences on stage, through his unique brand of steady-paced, deliberate observations. Remarkably, Dan does this all in English.
Dan performs internationally and resides in Buffalo, New York.
