A Play by Vincent Terrell Durham
Directed by J. Vaclav Michalec
Performed by the members of Face It! Theatre Company of Binghamton
Set in 1958, this compelling drama illuminates the violence of North Carolina’s eugenics program as an African American family struggles with the gathering realization of how the state came to call on them and what it intends for their children. An official visit by the eugenics agent ignites a collision with power, privilege, racism and social oppression.
