The Gaffer District invites you to HARVEST festival in downtown Corning! Come explore our downtown as we close Historic Market Street from September 16 to September 18 to vehicle traffic for outdoor dining, live music, and on-street vending from our small businesses and farmers' market vendors. All events are FREE (except horse & carriage rides) and open to the public. Due to the nature of the venue, guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs if desired. Stay tuned as we bring you more updates!

We invite you to join us in our celebration of harvest time in the Southern Finger Lakes!

Here's a list of what we're planning for Harvest 2022. Make sure to check back for more information as we get closer to the event!

 

FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 16

Join us and unwind downtown-style! The Corning Parking Garage offers free parking after 5 PM, and you will enjoy an al fresco dinner, cocktails, and music. Can you think of a better way to end the work week?

Live Music throughout Market Street from 5:30 pm to 8:30 pm

Bruce Holler Experience - 60's & 70's (between Wall & Cedar)

The Variables - Rock/Pop (between Cedar & Pine)

The Forty Thieves - FM Classic Rock (between Pine & Walnut)

Bring the family because we have fun for every age on Saturday. Kid’s activities, shopping, dining, music, and all the pumpkin fall fun you crave.

·Scarecrow Contest - We’ve challenged our business owner’s creativity, and you get to be the judge. The most important rule for judging: Make sure you enjoy yourselves!

·Scavenger Hunt presented by the Wineglass Marathon – Grab your form at the Gaffer Information tent near the corner of Market & Pine and search in participating Gaffer District businesses to win Wineglass Marathon gear and accessories.

·Horse & Carriage Rides (activity fee) - Enjoy a leisurely ride through the downtown on a carriage pulled by a majestic team of well-cared-for horses. You’ll be mesmerized by the sites and the clip-clop of the horses’ heavy feet.

·Outdoor dining at participating restaurants

·Kids’ activities provided by The YMCA at Watson Woods

·Downtown Tractor Display – Filled with tractors of all kinds, old and new! Be sure to come out and take a look!

·Farmers Market – Our famous weekly market hits the street. Featuring local farmers, chefs, and artisans.

SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 18 | 10 AM – 1 PM

It’s all about outdoor dining today, and that means BRUNCH! Whether it’s omelets, pancakes, or a hearty burger, you’ll enjoy mid-morning dining in the open air on historic Market Street.  Did someone say bloody marys and mimosas?

 

Not hungry? Bring your chairs and grab a spot at one of our music stages throughout the street.
