Sundae Sunday with Arts Center of Yates County

What better way to enjoy a Sunday afternoon than with a sundae in the afternoon?  The Arts Center of Yates County invites you to the second annual Ice Cream Social on Sunday, August 12 from 1-4 pm at Sunny Point, on the eastern shore of Keuka Lake.

Local potters have donated bowls and mugs which can be purchased for $20 at the event.  The mugs and bowls will then be filled with scoops of creamy Seneca Farms ice cream which can then be embellished with a number of tasty toppings, including special favorites like Rhode Island’s “coffee milk,” chocolate and cinnamon “Abuelita” syrup and Sandy’s famous homemade hot fudge. 

Participants can enjoy their ice cream at the Arts Center’s unique lakeside facility, Sunny Point, located at 869 East Lake Road in Dundee.  There will be live music, provided by the Reef Aires, and an opportunity to explore the Boathouse Pottery, where classes and open studio hours are offered throughout the summer months, as well as learning more about the Arts Center’s programs and activities for all ages and interests. 

Parking on site is limited but Sunny Point is an easy walk from route 54 and accessible by boat as well.  Watch for the signs on the road along the lakefront by the iconic “red barn studio” building.  Bowls and mugs will be sold on a first come, first served basis.  Come and enjoy a sundae on Sunday, August 9 from 1-4 pm and support the activities of the Arts Center of Yates County and our local artists!
