Since 2003, the Glenn H. Curtiss Museum and many very dedicated volunteers have held the “Seaplane Homecoming” each fall on Keuka Lake, right where Curtiss made some of his greatest contributions to aviation. In the early 1900’s it took bravery, ingenuity and cunning to do what he did and every aviation enthusiast owes him a debt of gratitude.
This year is no exception. Thanks to the generosity of the owner/pilots, a wide variety of Seaplanes will gather at Depot Park. You will have a chance to get up close to the aircraft and talk to the proud owners. You’ll learn a great deal about why water flying is so satisfying and exciting. It’s a very unique way to experience the freedom that being a pilot provides and they love to talk about it.
