Country Swagg + ZBTB

Country Swagg burst onto the country music scene in 2013 and has made a name for themselves in just a short period of time. Playing regular shows and having a dedicated fan base has helped the band to continue growing.

ZBTB is the premier tribute to the chart-topping Zac Brown Band. With 12 number-one singles and three GRAMMY wins, the Zac Brown Band is one of the hottest names in the music business and ZBTB is the first and most authentic tribute to their recorded music and live show. Not only does ZBTB capture the sound and creativity of the Zac Brown Band but they bring a similar atmosphere of family to their shows while engaging the audience in a way that is all their own.

From the Zac Brown Band’s 2008 breakout hit “Chicken Fried” to the recent sing-along anthem “Homegrown”, ZBTB plays all the hits any country fan knows and loves. In concert, the Zac Brown Band is well known for their renditions of a diverse set of covers, and ZBTB follows suit. With classics like “Enter Sandman”, “Ants Marching” and “Comfortably Numb” in the set, there’s something for everyone at a ZBTB show.

The members of ZBTB come from a wide range of backgrounds. Some have advanced degrees in music, and some have toured internationally – one even played for the circus. They all share some things in common, though: the brotherhood that only being in a band can bring, and the passion and experience to thrill the audience wherever they go.

“Foxworthy is especially virtuosic in his physical comedy, his flights of fancy and lightning shifts of tone and mood, he blends all these elements effortlessly. He may define being redneck as possessing “a glorious lack of sophistication,” but the truth is that Foxworthy, for all his regular-guy image, is a decidedly sophisticated artist.” Kevin Thomas, LA TIMES

Jeff’s third children’s book “Hide!!!” was a New York Times Best Seller and won a 2011 Mom’s Choice Award for illustrated children’s books. He once again teamed with illustrator Steve Bjorkman to tell the story of a neighborhood game of hide and seek and invites the read to join in the search.

Jeff has voiced numerous characters in different animated films, including Handy Smurf in The Smurfs and Smurfs 2. He was the voice of Reggie the Rooster in the Warner Bros. film Racing Stripes, Lyle in the Disney movie Fox and The Hound II, Lindberg in the Aviators, and Charlie Horse in Hatched.

July 6, 2004 marked the release of Jeff’s final solo comedy cd titled Have Your Loved Ones Spayed or Neutered. The cd contains all new material. It debuted at number one on the Billboard Comedy Charts and was Jeff’s second highest selling album debut.

In April 1999, The Foxworthy Countdown, a weekly syndicated four-hour radio show, debuted featuring Jeff bringing fans the current Top 30 country hits as well as interviews with stars. The show ran for 10 years and was carried in over two hundred and twenty markets across the United States. Jeff received a CMA nomination in 2001 for Broadcast Personality of the Year.

Jeff also has an HBO special and two Showtime specials to his credit. With critical acclaim and rave reviews from the first special, Jeff landed his second Showtime special, which earned a Cable ACE Award nomination.  Jeff has also been bestowed with a People’s Choice Award as “Favorite Male Newcomer” for The Jeff Foxworthy Show.

Jeff started his own outdoor company, Foxworthy Outdoors, which has a line of products related to outdoor living. He has a line of “You Might Be A Redneck If…” calendars through Andrews McMeel Publishing, which has sold millions of copies. He also has his own line of food products, including Jeff Foxworthy’s Grit Chips. In October 2003 The Nevada Gaming Commission granted approval for Aristocrat Technologies, Inc. to place its Jeff Foxworthy™ You Might Be A Redneck If…® video slot games in Nevada casinos. Station Casinos, Inc. was granted the right to introduce Aristocrat’s Jeff Foxworthy games into its 11 Las Vegas valley casino properties exclusively for 45 days prior to the game’s release to other Las Vegas off-Strip casino properties.

FireHouse

FireHouse has been rockin’ for over 25 years. Their music has taken them all over the world and has produced Gold, Platinum, and Multi-Platinum records in the United States and countries abroad.

In 1990, their first album, entitled FIREHOUSE, was released. The band’s first single, “Shake & Tumble”, had impressive radio success. The band then released “Don’t Treat Me Bad”, which became their first top ten hit. This was followed by “Love of a Lifetime”, which also entered the Top Ten, reaching the #3 spot on the United States charts. This string of hits vaulted their first album to double platinum status in the United States. At the 1991 American Music Awards, FireHouse found themselves standing before the nation accepting the award for Best New Hard Rock/Metal Band, chosen over Nirvana and Alice in Chains.

The band’s second album, HOLD YOUR FIRE, was released in 1992. It produced the hits “Reach For The Sky” and “Sleeping With You”. Another top ten hit, “When I Look Into Your Eyes”, peaked on the United States charts at #6. This album earned the band platinum sales in the USA and over a million more worldwide.

In 1995, FireHouse released their third album on Epic Records, simply titled 3. Once again, FireHouse produced another Top Forty Hit in the United States with “I Live My Life for You”. It was with this album that FireHouse made their first trip to Southeast Asia for a promotional tour. Earlier American hits like “Don’t Treat Me Bad”, “Love of a Lifetime” and “When I Look into Your Eyes” had climbed the charts in Asia. “Here for You”, the second single from 3, had also become a hit. The band then continued their promotional tour in South American countries such as Brazil and Argentina.

Their fourth album, GOOD ACOUSTICS, was released in 1996 and quickly went gold in Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore, Korea, and Philippines. GOOD ACOUSTICS contains unplugged versions of the group’s greatest hits, as well as four new songs. This album produced foreign hits such as “In Your Perfect World”, “Love Don’t Care”, and “You Are My Religion”. The band returned to Southeast Asia for another promotional tour at the end of 1996. Then, in February 1997, FireHouse embarked on their first concert tour of Southeast Asia playing sold out shows for fans in Indonesia, Singapore, Thailand, and Japan. During May and June they toured the United States before returning to Southeast Asia in July for an unprecedented twenty five city sold out tour of Indonesia.

In 1998, FireHouse toured the United States on the first Rock Never Stops tour, which also included Slaughter, Warrant, Quiet Riot, and LA Guns. October of 1998 featured the Asian release of FireHouse’s fifth CD, CATEGORY 5 on Pony Canyon Records. The album quickly climbed to #4 on the Japanese charts, and supporting promotional tour of Japan followed. Category 5 was officially released in the United States in 1999.

FireHouse continued touring through the winter and spring of 1999, including 3 more sold out shows in Tokyo, Nagoya, and Osaka. On April 22, 1999, the band recorded their live show in Osaka. The result – the first ever live album by FireHouse. BRING ‘EM OUT LIVE was released in Japan in December 1999 and in the United States on Spitfire Records in July 2000.

The turn of the century brought the release their seventh album, titled O². It has been released in Southeast Asia on Pony Canyon Records, and in the US on Spitfire Records. This album had notable success despite the changing style of popular rock music. During this time, the band decided to part ways with original bass player, Perry Richardson. O²’s remarkable bass playing was supplied by Bruce Waibel. Bruce brought to the band his phenomenal bass playing along with is equally impressive sense of humor. We truly regret to say that in September 2003 Bruce has passed away. He will be greatly missed as a friend and talented musician.

FireHouse headed back into the studio in early 2003 to write and record their 8th album, PRIME TIME. As music changes over time, FireHouse continues to evolve their musical style, yet at the same time hang onto their hard rock roots. Album number 8 is no exception. You can expect to hear what FireHouse is famous for, soulful, melodic hard rock.

In 2003, Allen McKenzie joined the band as bassist and background vocalist. Allen’s incredible vocal power and range coupled with his extraordinary bass playing help make FireHouse sound better than ever.

In 2007, FireHouse went back into the studio and re-recorded 10 fan favorites and band favorites, and released them on the album, FULL CIRCLE. The album FireHouse fans a unique look at how the songs have evolved over the years and taken on a life of their own.

Fans of bands come and go, but FireHouse has a unique following of core fans that cannot be compared to any other. Thanks to all of you for your many years of support and for coming out to ROCK with us on the road! We Love You All!

Tsukamoto’s instrumental abilities are indeed breathtaking and astounding, but his performances are so much more than that.  He has the unique capability of engaging an audience thru a personable and genuine approach that transfixes his audience and almost transcends his capabilities as a guitarist. Audience members will be mesmerized; Tsukamoto plays with an effortless skill on the guitar and a repertoire that will have you traveling the world, not to mention experiencing new sounds with his own compositions. His collaboration with Florida Georgia Line received Diamond status and he is only one of seven rappers to reach this honor. He is touring around the globe and recently was the first artist to play in Saudi Arabia with a mixed-gender/family crowd. He is the first hip hop artist to play with multiple symphonies nationwide and played himself in BET’s Real Husbands of Hollywood with Kevin Hart. His sports knowledge and love of all sports secured him a gig as a sportscaster with Skip Bayless. 2019 is going to be a huge year for the hip hop mogul, currently, Nelly is in the studio preparing for new music to be released in addition to several business ventures to be announced in the first quarter.

Nelly embarked on his music career with Midwest hip hop group St. Lunatics, in 1993 and signed to Universal Records in 1999. Nelly entered the spotlight with the release of Country Grammar in 2000, spending seven weeks at #1 on the Billboard Top 200 and spawning the massive hits “Ride Wit Me”, “Country Grammar”, and “E.I.”. The album landed Nelly four Grammy Award nominations and sold over nine million copies worldwide. Country Grammar is Nelly’s best- selling album to date, selling over 8.4 million copies in the United States.

Nelly kept the momentum going with the 2002 release of Nellyville. The album debuted at #1 on top of scoring Nelly his first two Grammy Awards for “Hot in Here” – Best Male Rap Solo Performance – and “Dilemma” [feat. Kelly Rowland] – Best Rap Song Collaboration. This album was highly successful and was certified 6x multi-platinum by the RIAA on June 27, 2003. He has since gone on to win multiple American Music Awards, a Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Award, Soul Train Music Awards, MTV Video Music Awards, and was crowned “Top Pop, Rap, and R&B/Hip-Hop Artist of The Year” by Billboard. He has been referred to by Peter Shapiro as “one of the biggest stars of the new millennium”, and the RIAA ranks Nelly as the fourth best-selling rap artist in American music history, with over 21 million albums sold in the United States. On December 11, 2009, Billboard ranked Nelly the number three Top Artist of the Decade.

On September 14, 2004, Nelly released two albums, Sweat and Suit. Suit, an R&B-oriented album, debuted at number one on the Billboard albums chart, and Sweat, a rap-oriented album, debuted at number two. From Suit, the slow ballad “Over and Over”, an unlikely duet with country music star Tim McGraw, became a crossover hit. On the 2004 NBC television concert, special Tim McGraw: Here and Now, McGraw and Nelly performed the song. In the winter of 2005 came Sweatsuit, a compilation of tracks from Sweat and Suit with three new tracks. “Grillz,” produced by Jermaine Dupri, was a number-one hit. To date, both albums have sold over 5 million units in the United States.

Brass Knuckles was released on September 16, 2008, with “Party People,” featuring Fergie and produced by Polow da Don, being the first single released. “Stepped on My J’z” was the next single, produced by Jermaine Dupri and featuring Dupri and Ciara; following that was “Body on Me”, produced by Akon and featuring Akon and Ashanti. Following up Brass Knuckles was 5.0 released in November 2010. The album’s lead single “Just a Dream” was released on August 17, 2010, through iTunes along with the promotional single “Tippin’ In da Club.” Just a Dream” made its first chart appearance debuting on the US Billboard Hot 100 at number 12 and peaking at number 3 in its fourth week. The song also debuted at number 3 on the Billboard Digital Songs chart, selling 888,000 downloads in its first week.”Just a Dream” is Nelly’s highest-charting song since his 2005 single “Grillz” and debuted at number 7 on the Billboard Rap Songs. The song entered the Canadian Hot 100 in August 2010, at number 32. It debuted in Australia (ARIA Charts) on the Singles Chart at number 3, in New Zealand Singles Charts at number 29, and in Switzerland (Media Control AG) at number 52. The second single “Move That Body”, which features T-Pain and Akon, was released on October 12, 2010. The song made its first chart appearance debuting on the US Billboard Hot 100 at number 54 and has reached a current peak at number 29 in Australia. In 2013, the St. Louis native released his seventh full-length album, M.O. [Republic Records] featuring guest appearances by Nicki Minaj, Pharrell, Future, T.I., and 2 Chainz as well as production powerhouses Rico Love (Beyonce, Usher) and Detail (Lil Wayne, T- Pain).

Nelly’s Country Grammar album and his song “Cruise” with Florida Georgia Line both achieved Diamond status in 2016. In 2016, Nelly was featured in a unique opportunity to perform alongside the country’s most prestigious orchestras including St. Louis, Columbus and Pittsburgh garnering great reviews. Nelly has performed on NBC’s The Voice, The American Music Awards, ABC’s Greatest Hits and served as a judge on CW’s The Next. Just some of his include: “Hot in Here” – “Dilemma” [feat. Kelly Rowland] “Country Grammar” “Ride Wit Me” “Just a Dream”– “Cruise” reached diamond status, “The Fix” sampling Marvin Gaye, and summer sixteens dance anthem “Millionaire” with Cash Cash and Digital Animal Farm.

The music mogul has also left his mark in other aspects of the industry, introducing his women’s clothing line, Apple Bottoms, men’s clothing line, Vokal, and Pimp Juice energy drink. His energy drink Pimp Juice, named after his hit song “Pimp Juice,” sold one million cans during the first two months after its introduction in August 2003. Pimp Juice was one of the first celebrity-driven energy drinks on the market, and an example of hip hop and pop stars using their appeal to younger audiences to market and sell non-music related products. Apple Bottoms, a fashion brand for women, launched in 2003 by Nelly,

Yomi Martin and Ian Kelly. The brand was initially a denim label, but then expanded to include other women’s and girl’s clothing, perfume and accessories. Apple Bottoms has also been referred to in numerous rap songs and was the sixth most popular denim brand in 2006. Additionally, he has collaborated with Nike on the “Air Derrty” limited edition sneaker, he is also the CEO of his label, Derrty Ent. and co-owner of the Charlotte Bobcats with Michael Jordan.

In 2005, Nelly made his big-screen debut in the Adam Sandler and Chris Rock hit remake, The Longest Yard. The movie’s soundtrack includes his songs “Errtime” and “Fly Away”. Nelly took on a recurring role on the hit show CSI: NY in 2009 and 2011, he made a cameo appearance on 90210. In 2013 Nelly continued his on-camera career by signing on to Kevin Hart’s top-rated show Real Husbands of Hollywood. The show follows the daily lives of him and other married celebrities, each playing a fictionalized version of themselves, as they venture through their surreal life in Hollywood. After five seasons, he has won two NAACP awards and has been nominated six times. In 2014 Nelly acquired his reality show entitled Nellyville, based on the title of his second studio album, which is about his career and raising his four kids. Nelly also added sports commentators to his list of accomplishments in 2016 with Fox Sports which makes him one of few actors with three television shows airing at one time. Nelly joined the panel on the FS1 show Skip and Shannon: Undisputed, an American sports talk show starring commentators Skip Bayless and Shannon Sharpe with host Joy Taylor. Nelly made headlines on the show when he sided with the New England Patriots’ players that refuse to visit the White House due to Trump and his policies.

Nelly also has strong philanthropic ties. In 2003, he and his late sister Jackie Donahue launched the Jes Us 4 Jackie Foundation. Upon Jackie’s diagnosis with leukemia, they aimed to educate and spread awareness about the need for bone marrow and stem cell transplant donations as well as attract more donors. His greatest philanthropic achievement is that he hosted the largest African American bone marrow drive to date. Sadly, Donahue passed away in 2005, but Nelly continues to use his influence to raise awareness. In 2010, Nelly endorsed Do Something’s Tackle Hunger campaign. In a public service announcement, he filmed for the cause, Nelly challenged teens to fight hunger by collecting one million pounds of food for the holiday season. Currently, he supports Make a Wish and is the only rapper/music artist to own their own college, EI University, which provides education surrounding the music industry while Nelly himself provides scholarships. In 2011, Nelly and Vatterott College worked together to found the Extreme Institute by Nelly, which is a music production school in the heart of St. Louis.

Recurrent: Prints & Artist’s Books

Amanda Maciuba

January 31 through February 28

Reception: January 31 | 5-7 pm

Amanda Maciuba’s work is concerned with the landscapes, communities, development practices and environmental issues prevalent throughout the United States. By reacting directly to the landscapes and environments she is living in at the time, her work examines, celebrates, and critiques place. Recurrent includes a large print installation that was started in Eastern Kansas after time spent researching remnants of original and re-created prairies and wetlands throughout the region. The work has continued to evolve as a response to the landscapes and communities she currently lives in, most recently, Western Massachusetts and Upstate New York. The work considers how humans influence and attempt to change, destroy and recreate the natural environments around them.

A native of the Buffalo, NY area, Amanda Maciuba graduated from the University at Buffalo with a degree in Visual Studies. She has a MFA in printmaking and a Certificate of Book Arts from the University of Iowa. She shows her work regularly throughout the United States and has participated in juried shows at the Minnesota Center for Book Arts, Pyramid Atlantic Art Center, the International Print Center New York, the Boston Printmakers North American Print Biennial and the Highpoint Center for Printmaking. She has attended artist residencies at the Iowa Lakeside Laboratory, the Tallgrass Prairie National Preserve, Fire Island National Seashore, the Lawrence Arts Center, the Kimmel Harding Nelson Center and the Haystack Open Studio Residency. Currently, she teaches printmaking, drawing and book arts at Mount Holyoke College in Western Massachusetts.
