Finger Lakes Events Calendar

Festivals, Happy Hour, Live Music, Theatre, and More!

It doesn’t matter what your interests are or who you’re in the Finger Lakes with, you can always find a great event to enrich your time in the region with those you care about.

Events take place all year round in the Finger Lakes region. From lakeside (and on the lake) events in the summer to harvest activities in the fall, snowmobiling or snowshoeing in the winter, and festivals in the springtime! Step inside a glassmaker’s studio to blow your own glass, stroll Main Street on a food tour, or gather for live music and theater performances. Browse the list of Finger Lakes events below or search the specific dates you will be visiting to see everything going on in the region.

Great Events that Happen Every Year

Below, you will find dozens of great events happening throughout the year with many of them happening annually. If you have memories of favorite annual Finger Lakes events from childhood such as cardboard boat regattas, hot air balloon festivals, cheese, apple or pumpkin festivals, to name a few, it’s likely that event that still takes place or, has likely improved your enjoyment. If you see a special event that piques your interest but can’t make it, click on the event anyway, it might be coming back next year!

Events Added Daily

Make sure to check back frequently to see if any other great events have been added. Events are added daily by businesses from every sector and interest so if there is nothing that sparks your interest now, there very well could be soon!

The text in this exhibition—which emerged from dialogues among curators, educators, scholars, artists, and other community members—is only a starting point.

Based on the Victor Hugo novel, and the Academy Award nominated score with songs from the brilliant minds behind Broadway’s Newsies, Beauty and the Beast, Pippin and Wicked, this sweeping score and powerful story create a night of magical theatre. In 15th century Paris, deformed bellringer Quasimodo yearns to explore life beyond the confines of Notre Dame. When he encounters a beautiful gypsy, his sights are set. However, she becomes the focus of several men and as they vie for her attention, an epic battle erupts begging the question — what is a man and what is a monster?

Hot Glass
Past | Present Hot Glass Live Stream

Our exhibition Past| Present: Expanding the Stories of Glass shows how the stories that objects tell are always evolving.  Past | Present explores how objects reveal stories about people across time and place, and how the Museum can broaden voices and narratives in our galleries. The text in this exhibition—which emerged from dialogues among curators, educators, scholars, artists, and other community members—is only a starting point.

In these unique hot glass demos, our glassmakers are joined by Museum curators to explore ideas and create objects which expand on the themes found in the exhibition.

How to Join and Connect Live

Watch live on Thursday, July 14 at 5:30 pm EDT, livestreamed on The Corning Museum of Glass YouTube channel.

The Hunchback Of Notre Dame
The Hunchback Of Notre Dame

Prepare to be mesmerized by the power and spectacle of this unforgettable musical.

Adjacent to the tasting, view the exhibit Fire & Vine: The Story of Glass and Wine, which highlights two of the most important industries in the Finger Lakes. Learn about the ways that glass is involved in all phases of the winemaking process, from grape to goblet.

Tastings will be free with the cost of Museum admission. Proof of age 21 and over required. Local residents (in zip codes beginning with 148,149, 169) always receive 50% off admission.

The Hunchback Of Notre Dame
The Hunchback Of Notre Dame

Prepare to be mesmerized by the power and spectacle of this unforgettable musical.

About Dr. Konstantin Frank Winery

Celebrating its 60th anniversary, Dr. Konstantin Frank Winery has been a leader in grape growing and winemaking throughout the Finger Lakes. Considered one of the most beautiful spots in the United States, the rolling hills, coupled with nature’s own majestic splendor, it’s been deemed the “Gem of the Finger Lakes.” This awe-worthy experience includes a delectable farm to table lunch, a tour of NY Kitchen, historical facts, and lakefront history all sprinkled into one leisurely, fun-filled afternoon!

The Hunchback Of Notre Dame
The Hunchback Of Notre Dame

Prepare to be mesmerized by the power and spectacle of this unforgettable musical.

Book Club Logo
The Book Club Play at Bristol Valley Theater

A stinging, smart comedy about books and the people who love them. Laughter and literature collide when five friends and their devoted book club become subjects of a documentary film. While the camera rolls and the wine flows, a lot more than literature gets discussed. Truths are told and secrets are revealed as the club members find that there is more to a book - and life - than the cover!

The Book Club Play runs July 28 - August 7. For more information and to order tickets, call us at 585-374-6318 or visit our website at bvtnaples.org!

Wading in Oatka Creek

Sunday, July 31 and Sunday, August 14

When was the last time you played in a creek? A creek is a wonderful place to play. Bring your family for a guided hike to the Oatka Creek and spend the afternoon skipping stones, splashing, and looking for crayfish. To get to the creek, participants will get the opportunity to hike the trails of our private Oatka Creek property.

  • Hiking shoes or boots are recommended, along with a backpack to carry wading supplies to the creek.
  • Water shoes, or strap-on sandals, are required and a change of clothes and/or a towel is recommended.
  • Participants will get to walk in the water (wade) up to their knees, but swimming is NOT permitted.
  • If weather conditions make the creek unsafe, we will alter our adventure and go pond dipping at Newt Pond.
  • Please arrive at the Nature Center Building to check-in 5-10 minutes early.
  • Be advised that the Oatka Creek is located approximately ONE MILE from the Nature Center Building.
  • All participants will be asked to stay with the group for the entire program.
  • Masks are required inside of buildings for all Museum visitors. Visitors should also continue to practice safe social distancing on the Museum grounds.
