Festivals, Happy Hour, Live Music, Theatre, and More!

It doesn’t matter what your interests are or who you’re in the Finger Lakes with, you can always find a great event to enrich your time in the region with those you care about.

Events take place all year round in the Finger Lakes region. From lakeside (and on the lake) events in the summer to harvest activities in the fall, snowmobiling or snowshoeing in the winter, and festivals in the springtime! Step inside a glassmaker’s studio to blow your own glass, stroll Main Street on a food tour, or gather for live music and theater performances. Browse the list of Finger Lakes events below or search the specific dates you will be visiting to see everything going on in the region.

Great Events that Happen Every Year

Below, you will find dozens of great events happening throughout the year with many of them happening annually. If you have memories of favorite annual Finger Lakes events from childhood such as cardboard boat regattas, hot air balloon festivals, cheese, apple or pumpkin festivals, to name a few, it’s likely that event that still takes place or, has likely improved your enjoyment. If you see a special event that piques your interest but can’t make it, click on the event anyway, it might be coming back next year!

Events Added Daily

Make sure to check back frequently to see if any other great events have been added. Events are added daily by businesses from every sector and interest so if there is nothing that sparks your interest now, there very well could be soon!

Fire & Wine Exhibit
Fire & Vine Wine Wednesdays | Lakewood Vineyards

What could be better than an exhibit about glass and wine? Sipping Finger Lakes wine while viewing beautiful glass objects, of course!

The Museum is partnering with local wineries to present Fire & Vine Wine Wednesdays all summer long. From July 6 to August 24, join us each Wednesday from 5-6:30 p.m. to experience the flavors that make the Finger Lakes known worldwide for its exceptional winemaking. We’ll feature a different winery each week.

This week, we'll be partnering with Lakewood Vineyards.

Adjacent to the tasting, view the exhibit Fire & Vine: The Story of Glass and Wine, which highlights two of the most important industries in the Finger Lakes. Learn about the ways that glass is involved in all phases of the winemaking process, from grape to goblet.

Tastings will be free with the cost of Museum admission. Proof of age 21 and over required. Local residents (in zip codes beginning with 148,149, 169) always receive 50% off admission.

About Lakewood Vineyards

In 1988, after nearly 37 years of growing and selling grapes, the Stamp family founded Lakewood Vineyards winery and began producing wines from their sprawling lakeside vineyards. Starting with 7 varieties of wine, made from estate grown grapes, Lakewood Vineyards winery opened for wine tasting and sales June 10, 1989. Their selection of wines has increased to 20 varietals and blended wines and mead. Over 500 medals and trophies attest to Lakewood's dedication to consistently high-quality wines.

Past | Present Hot Glass Live Stream
Past | Present Hot Glass Live Stream

Our exhibition Past| Present: Expanding the Stories of Glass shows how the stories that objects tell are always evolving.  Past | Present explores how objects reveal stories about people across time and place, and how the Museum can broaden voices and narratives in our galleries. The text in this exhibition—which emerged from dialogues among curators, educators, scholars, artists, and other community members—is only a starting point.

In these unique hot glass demos, our glassmakers are joined by Museum curators to explore ideas and create objects which expand on the themes found in the exhibition.

How to Join and Connect Live

Watch live on Thursday, August 18 at 5:30 pm EDT, livestreamed on The Corning Museum of Glass YouTube channel.

Niko Moon at Chevy Court Stage

Fast-rising country music star Niko Moon will make his Great New York State Fair debut Friday, August 26 at 6 p.m. on the Chevy Court stage. His song, “Good Time,” hit number 1 on the Billboard country music charts and spent nearly half of 2021 on the top 40 pop music chart. All concerts in the Chevrolet Music Series are free with Fair admission. Concerts at the Fair are sponsored by Chevrolet.

RCA Nashville breakthrough recording artist Niko Moon kicked off 2021 by topping multiple charts with his Platinum-selling debut single “GOOD TIME.” With more than 250 million on-demand streams, “GOOD TIME” helped catapult Moon to No. 1 on Billboard’s Emerging Artists chart and has been lauded as “a bottle-passin' campfire daydream” (Tennessean), solidifying the genre-defying entertainer’s reputation as “One of the most genuine and creative artists in country music right now” (THINK Country Music). Born in Tyler, TX, Moon relocated to Douglasville, GA at age 10, equidistance from hip-hop hub Atlanta and country breeding ground Newnan, GA, inspiring his artful persona: a mix of hooky melodies, shrewd wordplay and edgy, electronic beats. With five song writing No. 1 hits (Zac Brown Band’s “Loving You Easy,” “Homegrown,” “Beautiful Drug,” “Keep Me In Mind,” and “Heavy Is The Head”) plus co-pen credits on singles by Dierks Bentley and Ashley Monroe, among others, Moon continues to turn heads and has been named an artist to watch by CMT, Amazon Music, MusicRow, NY Country Swag, and more. He is currently self-producing his debut full-length project alongside longtime collaborator and friend Joshua Murty.

Ithaca, New York’s The Dart Brothers are filled with ambition and honesty and a growing signature sound with a rock n’ roll foundation and just the right amount of pop and alt country polish.

Hailing from all around the Ithaca area, their 5-piece sound is essentially comprised of guitars, drums, bass and vocals. While their music is original, their influences are familiar, and range from the Jayhawks and REM to the Beatles and The Band, from Dawes and Pink Floyd to The Guess Who and Motown. The Darts are relatively new on the scene, but each of the members are alumni from other bands: The Bay-area’s The Naked Barbies, The New York Rock, Cats Elbow, Radio London, Lil Anne & Hot Cayenne, and a number of others in and around our area.

Singer/guitarist Todd Edmonds, bassist Rick Kline, drummer Dan Lashkoff, lead guitarist Rob Van Vleet, and rhythm guitarist Andy Russell all contribute to the songwriting task, adding layers to material each member might bring to the group. It is a process that has yielded some really great collaborations.
