Finger Lakes Events Calendar

Festivals, Happy Hour, Live Music, Theatre, and More!

It doesn’t matter what your interests are or who you’re in the Finger Lakes with, you can always find a great event to enrich your time in the region with those you care about.

Events take place all year round in the Finger Lakes region. From lakeside (and on the lake) events in the summer to harvest activities in the fall, snowmobiling or snowshoeing in the winter, and festivals in the springtime! Step inside a glassmaker’s studio to blow your own glass, stroll Main Street on a food tour, or gather for live music and theater performances. Browse the list of Finger Lakes events below or search the specific dates you will be visiting to see everything going on in the region.

Great Events that Happen Every Year

Below, you will find dozens of great events happening throughout the year with many of them happening annually. If you have memories of favorite annual Finger Lakes events from childhood such as cardboard boat regattas, hot air balloon festivals, cheese, apple or pumpkin festivals, to name a few, it’s likely that event that still takes place or, has likely improved your enjoyment. If you see a special event that piques your interest but can’t make it, click on the event anyway, it might be coming back next year!

Events Added Daily

Make sure to check back frequently to see if any other great events have been added. Events are added daily by businesses from every sector and interest so if there is nothing that sparks your interest now, there very well could be soon!

November '23 Gallery Night

Join us at the Grayhaven Motel to celebrate the works of artist Jessica Warner! Jessica is interested in painting as a complex and contradictory space that can hold multiple meanings, scales and time frames together, can reframe how we engage with familiar objects and spaces. Her work is grounded in the experience of close observation but through the process, moves toward abstraction, imagination and suggestion. She works with the same objects over time, rearranging them into new contexts, allowing patterns in meanings to emerge and evolve through the process of making.

Jessica Warner received a BFA magna cum laude from SUNY Purchase with a concentration in painting and drawing, also spending a summer studying in Italy.

In 2021 she had a solo show, The Color of Distance at The South Hill Gallery in Ithaca., NY. Other solo shows include By the Water at the Buffalo Arts Studio, Buffalo N.YFirst Person, and Twice Removed curated by Mara Baldwin at The Handwerker Gallery at Ithaca College. Her work has been featured in group exhibitions at galleries including Exhibit A in Corning, N.Y. The Memorial Art Gallery In Rochester N.Y. and The Community School of Music and Art (CSMA) Ithaca N.Y. Her work has been reviewed in the Ithaca Times and Tompkins Weekly. In 2023, she was awarded a residency at The Vermont Studio Center and her work was included in Stone Canoe issue 17.

Jessica currently teaches painting and drawing at Ithaca College and The Community School of Music and Art (CSMA). She lives and works in Ithaca, NY.

Celebration for the Turkeys
Farm Sanctuary's Celebration for the Turkeys

This fall, gather for our time-honored tradition, Celebration for the Turkeys. On November 4, we’ll express gratitude for each other and all living beings — but turkeys especially!

Thanksgiving season is supposed to be about gratitude, but the factory farming industry has co-opted it to promote the consumption of turkeys who’ve suffered tortured lives on industrial farms. Nearly 46 million turkeys will be killed in the U.S. this Thanksgiving alone.

Rather than supporting this cruel system, please join us for our compassionate holiday celebration!

Attendees will savor a Saturday of community connection with human and non-human animals, complete with a festive meal for our feathered friends.

Whether you will be a returning regular or visiting for the first time, Celebration for the Turkeys is a heartwarming event to experience Farm Sanctuary. In our care, turkeys and other animal agriculture survivors live free from harm. Their rescue stories and personalities change hearts and minds and help us create a more just and compassionate food system.

All humans welcome! Visit Farm Sanctuary to learn more and purchase your tickets.
