Finger Lakes Tourism Alliance Recognizes Natalie Baris of Red Jacket Orchards for Excellence in Customer Service for 2018 Year

Excellence in customer service recognized and applauded at the Finger Lakes Tourism Alliance annual holiday party

(12/13/2018) Penn Yan, NY – The Finger Lakes Tourism Alliance (FLTA) held its annual holiday party this past Tuesday, December 11 at Lakeside Country Club. The Finger Lakes Tourism Alliance is an association of over 600 tourism related businesses working together to promote economic growth, partner for strong regional development, and educate consumers and the tourism industry. FLTA reached out to partner businesses to receive nominations for individuals who exemplified excellence in customer service throughout the 2018 year.

“Like our very successful annual Literature Exchange, this is another event that gives everyone in from across the region who attends a chance to connect,” said FLTA President Cindy Kimble. “So much of our business is done over the phone and online that this holiday event is a great opportunity to connect, catch up, and meet those we haven’t previously met face-to-face all while celebrating the holiday season with good cheer and good food. We want to highlight the excitement of the season and use this time to recognize excellent customer service from front line or management staff who have really made a difference throughout the year.”

The well-attended holiday gathering hosted 145 tourism related business representatives at the club as well as Senator Pamela Helming and representatives from Congressman Tom Reed, Senator Rich Funke, and Senator Kirsten Gillibrand’s offices.

A request for customer service excellence nominees was posed to FLTA partners several weeks before the party, asking for their best and brightest candidates. After careful review by the selection committee, comprised of previous year’s winners of the award, this year’s winner, Natalie Baris, Farm Store Manager of Red Jacket Orchards was chosen. Her upbeat personality, attention to detail and dedication to customer satisfaction were amongst many reasons why she was this year’s recipient. Baris was recognized by Senator Tom Reed’s office with a congressional proclamation recognizing her achievement. Senator Pamela Helming also awarded Baris with a NYS Senate proclamation of recognition for her excellence in service.

Founded in 1919, Finger Lakes Tourism Alliance is recognized as one of the oldest destination marketing organizations in the United States.  FLTA is an association of private-sector attractions, tourism-related businesses and county tourism offices working together to enhance and promote visitor businesses for the 9,000 square-mile Finger Lakes region of New York State.
