2021 M&T BANK CLOTHESLINE FESTIVAL CONFIRMED TO TAKE PLACE IN PERSON Saturday and Sunday, September 11 and 12

Aug 02nd, 2021

The Memorial Art Gallery is thrilled to announce that the M&T Bank Clothesline Festival will return to MAG grounds for its 65th year. MAG will welcome visitors and artists to Rochester’s largest and longest-running fine arts festival for the weekend-long event taking place on Saturday and Sunday, September 11 and 12.
Artist’s booths, food vendors, performers, and community nonprofit organizations will be in their regular locations and the Clothesline grounds will look much the same as in past years.

Attendees will notice one big change. To ensure safety and comply with COVID guidelines, entry will be facilitated by pre-purchased timed tickets. By controlling capacity through timed tickets, MAG can deliver the M&T Bank Clothesline Festival that guests look forward to attending. Unvaccinated guests and artists will be required to mask indoors as well as outdoors throughout the weekend.

Tickets for morning or afternoon time slots are now available for purchase through MAG’s website. This will apply to member and general public tickets. Ticket prices will be:
Non-member adults $7/Non-member child (12 & under) $4 Member Adult $6/ Member child (12 & under) $ 3
Clothesline tickets are non-refundable. In addition, tickets will not be available for purchase at the gates.
Another new development is that MAG is creating a smartphone app to help visitors navigate the MAG grounds and the more than 300 artist booths. Attendees are encouraged to download the app prior to the Festival.

“We are excited and grateful to be back live and in-person with this year’s M&T Bank Clothesline Festival,” said Jonathan P. Binstock, MAG’s Mary W. and Donald R. Clark Director. He continued, “We have sincerely appreciated the public’s support of our city’s art museum during the challenges of the global pandemic. I hope that Clothesline is one of many opportunities the community will take advantage of to reconnect with our region’s excellent arts culture, and with each other.”

Please visit clothesline.rochester.edu for the most up-to-date information regarding the event, purchase tickets, and for instructions regarding how to download the app once it is available.
