Nov 11th, 2017

Canandaigua, NY (November 11, 2017) “We are off to a very good start this season!”, exclaims, Drew Broderick, Sales & Marketing Director for Bristol Mountain. “I am pleased to announce that the 2017-18 season at Bristol Mountain will officially start today at 12pm. This is our earliest opening day since November 9, 1991 and I also believe it is the quickest opening time from the first snow coming out of the snow guns to the opening of a trail for us. The Snowmaking Team started Friday morning and here we are in anticipation of having “First Chair” at noon one day later”, Broderick explains.

Bristol Mountain will open Sunset Trail and Sunset Lift today from 12pm-4pm for intermediate and advanced level skiers and snowboarders only. Lodge Services such as Guest Services, Tuning Center, Bristol Mountain Ski & Sport, season locker room and Rocket Lodge will be open from 9am-4pm today and Sunday. Carver’s Kitchen will offer a limited menu.

Sunset Trail and Sunset Lift will be open from 9am-4pm on Sunday for intermediate and advanced levels.

“Our Snowmaking Team have outdone themselves with this very quick turn around. We saw an opportunity to lay down base on Sunset Trail and the team rallied so we could get our guests on snow this weekend!”, states, Mountain Manager, Paul Trippi.

Bristol Mountain, including Sunset Lift and Sunset Trail will be open on Sunday from 9am-4pm. Special lift ticket pricing is available this weekend. It is $39 for an open to close ticket.

The staff at Bristol Mountain are working to verify if they are the first of the 50 New York ski areas to open for the season.
