Cayuga County CVB has confirmed Karen Kuhl as new Executive Director

December 4, 2018- Cayuga County, NY –The Cayuga County Convention and Visitors Bureau Board of Directors confirmed Karen Kuhl as their new executive director at their regularly scheduled meeting on December 4, 2018.  Ms. Kuhl has more than 15 years of experience as a tourism professional and is a proven innovative and motivational leader.

Kuhl brings with her substantial experience in travel and tourism including regional, national, and international tourism promotion initiatives across both private and public sectors.

Her previous work experience includes ownership of Tastefully Nicaragua, a gastronomy- based tour operator and Director of Tourism & Hospitality Operations for Selva Negra Ecolodge. She has a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Florida State University, a master’s degree in tourism destination management from New York University and a food service management certificate from Cornell University.  Ms. Kuhl is fluent in Spanish and speaks conversational German.

Kuhl says, “I am excited to start this new journey alongside talented and passionate tourism professionals and look forward to helping promote all the amazing places that Cayuga County has to offer.”

 Kuhl is due to take up her new position at the Cayuga County Office of Tourism on December 10, 2018.
