Cayuga Lake Wine Trail Release New Spring Event

Apr 30th, 2021

With one event under their belt, Cayuga Lake Wine Trail is optimistically announcing their next event- Flights and Florals, held on May 14, 15, 16 and May 21, 22, and 23, 2021. Attendees will be able to choose from multiple pre-determined itineraries for any 1 of those days that will take them to 6 participating wineries. At each stop, they will enjoy a wine and food pairing and will end their day be receiving the full collection of beautiful potted flowers.

Some of the spring-inspired recipes that attendees will get to sample include Lemoncello Shrimp Scampi, Tabouli Salad, Golden Citrus Cake, and Asparagus Salad. These dishes will be paired with hand-picked wines that complement each bite of food. This year, the focus will be more on experiencing the pairing, which elevates both the food AND the wine. Though they’re only sampling from 6 of the wineries, they’ll get to take home recipes from all 13 participating wineries.

“What better way to celebrate Spring than with an event that includes fresh foods, wine, and potted plants?” Asks Katherine Chase, Cayuga Lake Wine Trail’s Executive Director. “Each of the wineries are creating a spring-inspired dish to pair with their wine selections. If you’ve done an event with us in the past, this one will look a bit different, but adjustments had to be made in order to bring everyone a safe and complaint event. What remains true is the top-notch wine, tasty food, and overall good time the guests will have. We’re certain everyone who attends will have an absolute blast, in the safest way possible!”

Tickets to Flights and Florals are $275 and sold as groups, or tables, of 4. Tickets are on sale now on the Cayuga Lake Wine Trail website: www.cayugawinetrail.com.

The Cayuga Lake Wine Trail wineries are safe and remain in compliance with the various state rules and regulations. Those still open and offering tastings are seated, snacks are served with the tastings or flights, and additional cleaning routines have been set in place. For further information on individual winery offerings and hours of operation, the Wine Trail has many up-to-date resources on its website to help you plan your trip.
