Celebrate Summer at the City’s Sizzlin’ Summer Kick-Off: June 25th 5 – 10PM

(6/14/22): The City of Auburn presents the return of this beloved music festival to add to a summer schedule packed with lots of opportunities for outdoor fun in downtown Auburn. The 5th Annual Sizzlin’ Summer Kick-Off will take place on Lincoln Street, Exchange Street Plaza & the NYS Equal Rights Heritage Center on June 25th featuring three live band performances, an eclectic mix of 20+ artisan merchants, mobile vending and family activities. Participating food & beverage vendors include Lisa’s Dawg House, Next Chapter Brewpub, Poppy’s Ice Cream Truck, Shepherds Brewing Co., and Silver Street Kettle Corn. They will be serving up beer, wine, hard cider & hard seltzer, plus ice cream, sweets & grilled summer favorites. Also, Classic Hits 99.3 will be broadcasting live from the event from 5 – 7PM. Come visit with radio station staff and pop into their cash machine to grab a quick buck.

Family Fun
This year, check out some new children’s activities offered outside ERHC. From 5 - 8PM families can take special event guest photos with a superhero and princess. Meet Spiderman and Elsa at the Royal Promise Productions booth. From 5 - 7PM the Face Paint Lady booth will offer free unique designs painted on children’s faces. From 5:30 - 6:30PM Jeff the Magic Man performs a comedic magic show and balloon artistry. Also, join the local group Auburn Rox for rock painting and a painted rock hunt.

Signed to RCA in the early ‘70s with his first band, Jukin’ Bone, Mark has gone on to record and tour with artists as varied as Meat Loaf, Bryan Adams, Judy Collins, Leo Sayer, Kim Simmonds and Hall & Oates. The band’s stellar line-up with Doyle on guitar and vocals, now includes original member Terry Quill on second guitar, harp and vocals, Frank DeFonda on drums and Joel Kane on bass and vocals.
