Chateau Frank Celebre One of the "Year's Best US Sparkling Wines" in Wine & Spirits Magazine

Nov 19th, 2013

Hammondsport, New York – November 19, 2013 – The Chateau Frank Célèbre was included among the “Year’s Best Sparkling Wines” in the December 2013 issue of Wine & Spirits Magazine.  Made from estate grown Riesling in the traditional methode champenoise, Chateau Frank Célèbre is the only Finger Lakes sparkling wine on the list consisting of primarily west coast sparkling wine producers.

Wine & Spirits Magazine also gave Chateau Frank Célèbre a “90 Point” rating and described the wine as “brisk, lemony and thoroughly refreshing” and said, “this sparkler’s ripe pear flavors and mild pear-skin finish would merit a pairing with miso-glazed chicken.  It’s also an irresistible appertif.”  The Chateau Frank Célèbre was noted as a “best buy” as well.

Chateau Frank is the sister winery to Dr. Konstantin Frank’s Vinifera Wine Cellars and was started by Dr. Frank’s son, Willy.  While Dr. Konstantin Frank pioneered growing the noble European grape varieties in New York, Willy Frank spearheaded New York’s sparkling wine revolution using traditional methods and classic grapes.  Chateau Frank’s award winning sparkling wines have been served at the White House, New York’s Governor’s Mansion and more.
