Finger Lakes Musical Theatre Festival Announces 60th Anniversary Season Auditions

AUBURN, N.Y. (Dec. 4, 2017) The Finger Lakes Musical Theatre Festival announces auditions for its 2018 Season, the organization’s 60th Anniversary. The upcoming auditions will be held in Auburn, NY and in New York City. Auburn auditions will be held, by appointment only, on January 26, 27 and 28, 2018.

To schedule an appointment, visit and fill out the request form. Upon submitting a request, notification of audition appointments will be released beginning on January 8th, 2018. There will also be opportunities to audition for the MGR Youth Theatre – the professional resident tour. Colleges and universities wishing to send groups of 10 or more students may send an email to to coordinate.

On June 6, 2018, the Playhouse will open its doors with the global smash hit, “Mamma Mia!” Following is “Anne of Green Gables, A New Musical” a smart, bold new adaptation of the famous Lucy M. Montgomery novel. Third in line is the rousing song and tap dance musical, “Irving Berlin’s Holiday Inn.” The fourth show is “Murder For Two,” a zany new musical comedy murder mystery whodunit. Rounding out the season is a brand new production of “Beehive,” the musical tribute to the women of 1960s rock, pop, and soul music. Featuring music from the Supremes, Aretha Franklin, Tina Turner, Cher, Janis Joplin, and more, this musical tribute will rock the mainstage 2018 Season to a close on October 6.

  • Mamma Mia!: Rehearses May 21, opens June 6, closes June 27
  • Anne of Green Gables: Rehearses June 18, opens July 5, closes July 25
  • Holiday Inn: Rehearses July 16, opens August 1, closes August 22
  • Murder For Two: Rehearses August 13, opens August 29, closes September 15
  • Beehive: Rehearses September 3, opens September 21, closes October 6
