Finger Lakes Wine Festival toasts historic milestone for 2021, Tickets on Sale

Aug 24th, 2020

WATKINS GLEN, N.Y. (August 24, 2020) – New York State’s premier wine tasting experience, the Finger Lakes Wine Festival, will celebrate its 25th anniversary, July 9-11, 2021.

For one weekend, Watkins Glen International, four-times voted “Best NASCAR Track” by readers of USA Today, will transform into a festival by welcoming more than 90 New York wineries, in addition to many regional chefs, food purveyors, craft vendors and visitors from around the United States.

“The Finger Lakes Wine Festival has become one of the most recognized events of its kind on the East

Coast,” said Watkins Glen International President Michael Printup. “Seeing the weekend grow over the past quarter-century is a testament to the amazing partnerships we have with the wineries and wine trails across the state. It’s something that wine connoisseurs and event-goers from all over the map mark on their calendars each year, and we are excited to welcome them back to the Glen in 2021.”

No trip to Watkins Glen International – the birthplace of North American road racing and former venue of the United States Grand Prix – would be complete without a taste of what made the venue famous. The Masters Historic Formula One Championship, featuring historic Formula One cars, will take to the Glen’s iconic road course prior to the start of the festival. Admission to the festival will include access to this exhibition, providing fans and festival-goers a weekend full of racing, wine tasting, music and educational seminars, all in one picturesque location.

Tickets for the event are available by calling 866.461.7223 or at www.flwinefest.com.

The Festival was established at the New York Chiropractic College in Seneca Falls, N.Y. and was taken over by Watkins Glen International in 1996. Since that time, the event has grown into the East Coast’s largest event focusing on New York State wines, crafts, and cuisine.  As a result, it is a five-time recipient of the American Bus Association’s Top 100 event designation and has been voted “Best Wine Festival” by readers of USA Today.
