Geneva Historical Society to Host Homeschool Program November 13

The Geneva Historical Society will host Village Life in the Finger Lakes, an educational program for homeschooling families, at the Geneva History Museum on Tuesday, November 13, 2018 from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. In groups, families will rotate through stations featuring hands-on activities exploring Finger Lakes' life in the 1800s. Topics will include music, transportation, schooling, and fun and games. The program is aligned with the New York State standards in Social Studies and designed primarily for children in grades Kindergarten through 6. Families with children of all ages are welcome to attend, as there will be activities geared towards younger learners as well.
 
The program costs $5 per child for age 5 and up. Adults and younger siblings are free. Doors open at 10:15 and the program begins at 10:30. Advance registration is required, and space is limited. The Geneva Historical Society is located in the Prouty-Chew House at 543 South Main Street in Geneva, NY. Parking is on the street or in the Trinity Episcopal Church lot across the street.
