GOOSE WATCH WINERY WINS “BEST OF SHOW” HARD CIDER IN SAN FRANCISCO AND MORE

Mar 05th, 2018

One of Goose Watch Winery’s newest products took the top award for hard cider at the 2018 San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition. The Goose Watch Flying High Semi-Sweet Sparkling Hard Cider took the top award in the Hard Cider Category, while several Goose Watch wines also garnered high accolades. The winery’s 2016 Pinot Grigio and 2016 Traminette were awarded Double Gold medals while the 2016 Riesling Gewürztraminer was awarded a gold medal.

“This was a great honor and a bit of a surprise” remarked Goose Watch Co-owner David Peterson. Since it was the first hard cider that we produced and the first national wine competition that it was entered in, we had no idea how it would stack up against this level of competition.” As for the wines, Peterson added that “it was gratifying to have 3 of our premium dry white wines to be judged to be among the top white wines in what is the largest competition for American wines in the country.”

Goose Watch Winery is owned by the Peterson Family and located at 5480 Route 89 in Romulus, NY. For more information about the winery, visit www.GooseWatch.com or call toll free 888-549-9463.
