Spring 2020 Online Quarantined Class
Introduction to Filmmaking
Grades 2-6
April 6-10
Daily; 2-3:30 p.m.
Participation Fee: $75, financial aid and scholarships available.
In this online class, young people will learn the basics of filmmaking via smartphone technology. The class will cover story telling through imagery, framing, and dialogue and students will create their very own short film.

NOAH ELMAN (Lead Teacher) is an Ithaca local, and recently was the Assistant Director of Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol at the Hangar Theatre. He has taught multiple film-making classes for young performers with Playground Academy and Drama Camp and is excited to be bringing this to Ithaca. Film directing credits include: re/act, White River (in production); Stage directing credits: Two Gentlemen of Verona (Shakespeare on the Lake), The Pillowman (SUNY Fredonia’s PAC); Assistant directing credits: The Skriker (House of Ithaqua), Hamlet (Shakespeare on the Lake), Legally Blonde Jr., Alice in Wonderland Jr., and Seussical Kids (Playground Drama Camp).
