Idol Ridge Winery was recently awarded an array of gold medals from two international wine competitions: Camp Good Days Finger Lakes International Wine Competition and the New York Wine Classic. Their 2019 Dry Riesling won both a double gold (FLIWC) and gold medal (New York Wine Classic). The 2019 Reserve Smith Brothers Riesling also won gold at the Finger Lakes International Wine Competition. Other gold medal winners at the New York Wine Classic include: 2019 Riesling, 2019 Reserve Smith Brothers Noiret and Fossenvue Queen’s Castle.
In addition to multiple gold medals, they were also awarded the following:
Silver for their 2016 Cabernet Franc, Fossenvue 2019 Airy Acres Riesling, 2020 Grüner Veltliner, Timber Lodge White, and 2018 Saperavi. Bronze for their Fossenvue 2019 Lemberger, 2013 Cabernet Franc Icewine, and String of Pearls.
The New York Wine Classic is a competition hosted by the New York Wine and Grape Foundation, an organization dedicated to promoting the Finger Lakes wine region. The Finger Lakes International Wine Competition donates its profits to Camp Good Days, a non-profit organization that provides a summer camp experience for those affected by childhood cancer.
