Lamoreaux Landing Wine Cellars Wins Three 90-point Wines plus Editor’s Choice & Best Buy from Wine Enthusiast

May 05th, 2020

Dear Valued Tourism Partners:

We know this is an unprecedented time for your business, and our community as a whole. We wanted to reach out and share the latest COVID-19 news and resources that impact our industry and community.  To keep you updated we have added a page to the Finger Lakes Tourism Alliance’s (FLTA) website with the latest news.  It can be found at on the homepage of FingerLakes.org in bolded text in the middle of the homepage.  Continual updates to our site content continue, such as the addition of this resource page.

A new video has been produced, compliments of donated services from Glenn Clark at Crafting a Brand.  This video has been used in conjunction with our #JustTakeAMoment campaign.  The video is designed to keep the Finger Lakes top of mind and is utilized on our social media channels as well as included in a public newsletter to over 48,000 potential visitors.  You can find the video as a link in the body of text in the middle of the homepage or in the footer of www.FingerLakes.org with an image of the lake and black text overlaid on it.

Currently FLTA is conducting a survey.  We are asking our database of potential visitors what their future travel plans will look like and include.  Some questions will allow us to benchmark against the prior research study FLTA conducted, while others are specific to the COVID-19 pandemic.  Results of this survey will be shared with you in the near future.  Watch your upcoming newsletters for a link.

The travel guide has been produced and distribution is underway.  We are responding to individual requests for the guide and we are excited to report to you that in one two- day period alone we received over 1,600 requests!  Thus far our individual requests are tracking on par with last year. Our fulfillment center is operational and processing these requests daily.  In addition, AAA/CAA offices have requested over 400 cases of travel guides.  The Chautauqua and Pennsylvania information centers are open and we have supplied a pallet of guides to each location.  As other centers are allowed to open additional guides will be shipped.

Layout and design work continues for the Map/Mini-Guide.  As a partner you receive a free listing in this publication. Minimal advertising space remains available so if you would like to consider this opportunity, please contact jessicar@fingerlakes.org.

As you can see your team at FLTA has been hard at work.  Enclosed you will find your account statement.  Our work efforts are based on the commitments you made to the organization as we work to deliver our promised services.  Should you need to extend your payment agreements or due dates, please just contact our office at info@fingerlakes.org.  We are here to work with you and understand that these are difficult, unprecedented times.

In the meantime, there are some actions you can take today to continue to get the most use out of your Finger Lakes Tourism Alliance partnership:

  • Check your e-mail regularly for updates and resources from FLTA. If you have not already done so, please visit www.FingerLakes.org for updated community and business information.
