Love isn’t the only thing in the air along the Cayuga Lake Wine Trail

Jan 20th, 2022

2022 brings a full lineup of events for the Cayuga Lake Wine Trail, starting with a new release- Sweet Treats for your Sweetheart. Held on February 12th, attendees will be able to choose from multiple pre-planned itineraries that will take them to 6 participating wineries. At each stop, guests will enjoy a dish fit for anyone with a sweet tooth paired with an equally delicious wine. Along with that, they’ll also receive 3 additional wine tastings, a stemmed rose at each stop, a souvenir sparkling wine glass, and a digital recipe book to recreate their favorite sweets.

Some of the decadent treat’s attendees will get to indulge in include Triple Berry Chocolate Mousse, Chardonnay Pound Cake with a Vanilla Citrus Glaze, Chocolate Baklava, and Red Velvet Cupcakes. These sweets will be paired with hand-picked wines that complement each bite. This year, the focus on events will be more on experiencing the pairing, which elevates both the food AND the wine. Though they’re only sampling 6 of the wineries, they’ll get to take home recipes from all 10 participating wineries.

“We’re extremely excited to be bringing you this fun, new event. We’ve structured this for tables of 2, so it’s a wonderful opportunity to take someone on a date to celebrate Valentine's Day.” Exclaims Cayuga Lake Wine Trail’s Executive Director Katherine Chase. “We’ve got wine, sinful treats, and flowers- what more could you ask for?” Though this is billed as a Valentine’s event, we have no requirements as to whom may purchase a table of 2. Friends, family, seasoned couples, first dates- you name it- all are welcome to enjoy a day of wine, sweets, flowers, love, and laughter.

Tickets to Sweet Treats for your Sweetheart are $55 per person and sold as tables for 2. Don’t worry- if you want to double date, there’s an option to let us know who you’re coming with, and we can make sure you’re sat at a table for 4. Tickets are on sale now on the Cayuga Lake Wine Trail website: www.cayugawinetrail.com.

The Cayuga Lake Wine Trail Wineries remain up to date with current state mandates and adjust as needed. Those still open for the season continue to keep their employees masked, engage in additional cleaning practices, and keep safety at the forefront of their minds. For further information on individual winery offerings and hours of operation, the Wine Trail has many up-to-date resources on its website to help you plan your trip.
